The Graduate Admissions Office of NYU Shanghai-NYU Stern MS Programs has released the admissions decisions for the first and second rounds of Summer 2023 entry applications, and the application review for the third round is currently in progress.
Our office has prepared the welcome gift packages for admitted students. Congratulations to the students who have received the admission offers! We look forward to starting a new chapter with you in our MS programs and meeting with you in New York City this summer.
The admitted students gift packages this year continue the theme of the blind box from last year. Therefore, the gifts received by each student may not be exactly the same. We hope that these gifts will bring joy and excitement to the incoming students so you can feel more connected to our community.
Let’s take a look and reveal what’s inside the admission gift packages this year!
Tote Bag:
Firstly, we are excited to reveal this year’s tote bag design. Unlike previous years’ canvas material, we opted for a more lightweight and stylish PVC material. In order to improve the bag’s practicality, we reinforced the bag’s body on the basis of the original load-bearing design, making it more convenient for students to use it on a daily basis. The PVC material reflects a dazzling laser light that always reminds us of the vibrant summer. We hope that every student can gain more professional experience and find like-minded classmates this summer.
Straw Cup:
This year’s admission gift still includes our classic tricolor (black, white, and yellow) portable straw cup, and the color of each cup in the gift bag will be randomly assigned. This straw cup is suitable for coffee, tea, and various types of beverages. We hope it can accompany students throughout our program, and in every moment of their future journey beyond the MS program.
We have also prepared some office stationery that can be used in daily life and studies, such as the program-customized purple notebook and portable storage box. We will randomly assign one of these two stationery items to each gift package.
Welcome bear:
Last but not least, our “mystery guest" is none other than our welcome bear! Last year, our welcome bear was well-loved by our students. This year we've designed a new series of bears with two different outfits wearing customized purple hoodies and blue polo shirts. Like last year, they will also be limited edition hidden items, appearing in random packages.

After receiving the offer, admitted students who wish to get a gift package can fill out and submit the gift delivery information form on the Admitted Students Portal. Since international delivery may take a longer time, we strongly suggest that students with a residential address in China fill in the domestic address.
Once the Admissions Office receives the form, we will gradually ship the gift bags in batches. We also welcome you to share the contents of the gift bag on the Little Red Book platform and interact with our official account. Students who participate in the gift bag sharing challenge will have the opportunity to receive additional welcome bears or other small gifts from the Admissions office.
