From late May to mid August, students from the four NYU Stern-NYU Shanghai MS Programs spent their summer studying in New York and Shanghai. They deepened their learning, broadened their perspectives, and fostered strong connections with their faculty and peers.
Students completed 13.5 credits during the summer, diving into foundational concepts and actively engaging in classroom discussions.
To kickstart the planning for their post-graduation careers, students worked closely with the career coaches from the NYU Shanghai Center for Career Development (CCD) to refine their resumes, identify their goals, and establish their action plans.
In New York, students gained firsthand industry perspectives through site visits and interactive panels with leaders at top companies including The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), Consolidated Edison (Con Ed), Amazon, and American Express.

Beyond academics and career development, students immersed themselves in the vibrant local culture through a variety of extracurricular events. Highlights in New York included a community lunch featuring a talk on AI by Professor Joe Foudy, the Circle Line boat cruise along the Hudson and East Rivers, a New York Liberty basketball game at Barclays Center, and a historic walking tour of Chinatown. Meanwhile in Shanghai, students explored the former French Concession on a guided tour and attended a networking dinner with peers from the Stern at NYU Abu Dhabi MBA program.
