- What was your favorite course this summer?
My favorite course was Foundations of Finance taught by Professor Alexi Savov. Although I learned basic finance theories in undergraduate courses, I enjoyed the way Professor Alexi explained the detailed knowledge and combined all the different sessions together. Besides, Professor Alexi is quite patient and humorous, willing to answer all our questions and tell funny stories in class.
- What was your most memorable program experience this summer?
The Circle Line Sightseeing Boat Cruise! With students from different programs, we saw famous landmarks on both the Hudson and East Rivers from aboard the boat, plus breathtaking views of Manhattan’s downtown, midtown skyline, and of course, the Statue of Liberty.
- What was it like to study and live in NYC this summer?
Studying in New York City during the summer offers a remarkable balance of academic enrichment and urban adventure. Different public and school libraries provide a conducive environment for focused research and learning. Meanwhile, weekends in the city present an array of cultural and entertainment experiences, enabling me to explore diverse neighborhoods and embrace the vibrant spirit of NYC. I visited many artistic places such as the Museum at Eldridge Street, Morgan Library, Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), and Little Island.
- What is your advice for students studying at NYU Stern in NYC?
Work hard, play hard. It is common to spend your time in the library or in your dorm studying hard, but don’t forget that you are here in NYC! There are so many interesting events there. Just hang out with your friends in programs, explore its diverse neighborhoods, savor its cuisine, and immerse yourself in its cultural riches.
- What is one thing you’re looking forward to doing in Shanghai during the fall semester?
The fall semester is a busy and hard time for everyone who is seeking jobs while finishing all the courses. As Cohort Leader, I am excited that students in the four programs will have some team-building activities together this semester.
